Michael Warren
Michael Dean Warren, 63, of Springfield, IL, passed away on December 3, 2025. Michael was born on January 30, 1962, in Kewanee, IL to Rueben F. Warren and Shirley J. (Cordrey) Warren Morris. Micheal married Deborah Nevill on April 8, 1990 and she survives.
He is also survived by his sons: Zachery Michael DeSpain of Nicholls, Georgia and Brandon Dean (Noelle) DeSpain of Sherman, IL, granddaughter: Lainey Kathryn DeSpain, grandson: Carter Dean DeSpain, sisters: Brenda Porter of Winnetka, IL, Laura Smith of NC, Christine Warren of Anna, IL, Carrie Morris of Winnetka, IL, sister in law: Clara Sue Warren, mother-in-law: Judith Nevill of Dawson, IL, brother-in-law: Douglas (Becky) Nevill of Springfield, IL, nieces and nephew: Shelbie, Jordin, Mathew Nevill, all of Springfield, IL, and others, his beloved cat LS, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother: Steven Warren, father-in-law: Michel Nevill Sr, brother-in-law: Michel Nevill Jr.
Michael worked as a warehouseman at Capitol Group and then Bunn Capitol. He also worked at Nevill’s family restaurants. Michael most recently worked as a homecare worker with The Office of Rehabilitation Services.
Michael enjoyed fishing in his free time. He was a member of East Keys Baptist Church.
Visitation 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm, Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with services beginning at 1:00pm and Bob Mitchell officiating.
Mourners are invited to a meal and conversation gathering at the K of C Hall in Riverton, IL immediately following the grave side services. Memorial contributions can be made to the family or to Animal Protective League.
