Michael Costello, Sr.
Michael Joseph Costello, Sr., 69 years old, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 15th, 2025.
Born in Somers Point, NJ, he grew up and lived in Ocean City, NJ. He graduated from Ocean City High School in 1976 and worked for the City of Ocean City for 25+ years in the Traffic Maintenance department until he retired in 2019.
Michael had a deep love for his family and enjoyed spending time with them, he was known for his daily visits to his favorite Wawa, where he would enjoy a cup of coffee and greet everyone with a kind word, his most cherished keepsake was a special coin he carried in his pocket, given by his mother symbolizing the love and bond they shared.
Family survivors include his wife: Nora (nee May) Costello, son: Michael Jr. and Stephanie, Amber, Steven, Joshua (stepchildren), John, Ryley, Sheena (step grandchildren) and Brother: Leon and Jennifer Costello.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Philomena (nee Calise) Costello.
His funeral service will be offered 11:00am on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at The Godfrey Funeral Home, 809 Central Avenue, Ocean City, NJ where is viewing will begin at 10:00.
Burial will be private.
