Michael Constant

Michael Dan Constant, 78 passed away at home May 20, 2025.

Mike was born and raised in Louisville, KY and graduated from Seneca HS and University of Louisville. He moved with his wife, Debbie, to Hinckley in 1991.

Mike held several management/finance jobs throughout his life from auditing manager, personnel management, plant manager, financial director and company treasurer. He has served as president and board member of the Irish Terrier Club of America, president of the Agility Ability Club of Illinois and he held several positions with the Irish Terrier Club of Chicago.

The past 20 years he has served the Village of Hinckley as a Village Trustee and was part of the Planning Committee. He was instrumental in developing Hinckley’s community project of Harvesting Our Future. The past 4 years he passionately has served on the DeKalb County Community Foundation and is the current Vice President. He loved to travel and watch sports of all kinds, especially watching family play in many sports. He and Debbie have traveled extensively with their dogs to compete in agility trials.

Family includes wife of 37 years, Debbie (Hunt) Constant, daughter Jessica Constant of County Mayo, Ireland, grandson Joshua Hughes of Louisville, KY. Brothers in law Terry (Marty) Hunt and Randy Hunt, nieces and nephews Sarah (Sean) Herron, Declan & Kyla Herron, Tyler (Samantha) Hunt & Wesley, Jennifer Hunt and Juniper.

He was preceded in death by his parents Dan and Roxie Constant of Louisville.

Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Nash-Nelson Memorial Chapel, 141 North Maple Street, Hinckley, IL.

A Visitation will also be held from 10:00 AM until the Hour of Service at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Nash-Nelson Memorial Chapel, 141 North Maple Street, Hinckley, IL.
