Memorial Real-estate Scholarship named for former Carson City Supervisor Brad Bonkowski awarded to step-daughter

LOGIC Commercial Real Estate proudly announces that two of its rising professionals, Michael Sclafani and Mallory LaBranch, MBA, have been awarded prestigious scholarships from the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) Institute—further underscoring LOGIC’s commitment to professional development and industry excellence.

Mallory LaBranch, MBA, Associate, was awarded the Brad Bonkowski Named Memorial, Bighorn Sheep, Endowment Scholarship—the largest scholarship offered by the Northern Nevada CCIM chapter. This marks the first year of availability for this $1,500 scholarship, which holds deep personal significance as it honors Mallory’s late stepfather, Brad Bonkowski, CCIM. Mallory is also aiming to earn her CCIM pin in 2026.

“This scholarship means so much to me, both professionally and personally,” said LaBranch. “Representing Brad’s legacy in everyday business and through my CCIM journey is a privilege and an honor. I’m grateful to the Northern Nevada CCIM Chapter, to LOGIC, and to my mentor, Andie, for supporting my growth in commercial real estate.”

About the Bighorn Sheep Scholarship established in April 2023:

A CCIM since 2002, Brad Bonkowski, CCIM, was the broker/owner of NAI Alliance Carson City. Brad served as the President of the local Board of Realtors, was selected as Realtor of the Year twice. Brad was an active member of CCIM of Northern Nevada and Treasurer for CREW of Northern Nevada, was the original staunch proponent of the downtown improvement project which later morphed into the corridor improvement projects which are still underway today.

Michael Sclafani, Senior Associate, received the CCIM Southern Nevada Past Presidents Scholarship to support his continued education in the CI 102 course. A Candidate Member of CCIM and active member of the Southern Nevada chapter, Michael also serves on the Wine Event Committee. He is on track to test for his full CCIM designation in 2026.

“Receiving this scholarship is a meaningful step forward in my journey toward CCIM designation,” said Sclafani. “I’m proud to be part of an organization like LOGIC that values continuous learning and encourages active industry involvement.”
