MAX VOLLENDROFF
Max Edmund Vollendroff, 58, of Palatka passed away Thursday, September 4, 2025 at HCA Florida North Florida Hospital in Gainesville.
Born in Madera, California, Max had resided in Putnam County for the past 29 years coming from Rhode Island. A graduate of Tollgate High School, in Warwick, R.I., Max was a faithful man who spent much of his working life as a skilled carpenter in the construction industry. In his leisure time, he enjoyed working on cars, watching New England Patriots football, and taking things apart and not putting them back together!
He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Vollendroff; mother, Rae Johnson; and a sister, Dianne Vollendroff-Muchow.
Surviving are three brothers, Jake Mathieson (Houng), Raymond Brehmer, and Craig Brehmer; and by Michael Neto whom Max loved as a brother; four sisters, Pauline Belal (Mohamed), Mo-ree Thomas, Mo-Lin Short, and Tamara Barton; a special cousin, Melissa DeSomma; Joseph “Pops” Hall who was the father Max needed; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Trinity, Andrew, Adam, Savannah, Alexandria, Donna, Victoria, Connor, and Quinn.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
