MaryAnne Okapal, 76, of Yorkville, IL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL.
Born on March 4, 1949, in Naperville, IL, MaryAnne was the daughter of Frank and Mary (Klien) Keller. On May 1, 1971, she married the love of her life, Thomas Okapal. Together, they shared 54 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and devotion to family.
MaryAnne was a dedicated member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Joliet, IL. She was a woman of deep faith, quiet strength, and unwavering love for those around her. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, she leaves behind a legacy of kindness and compassion that touched the lives of all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Okapal of Yorkville, IL; her sons, Thomas Okapal Jr. and Christopher (Nichole) Okapal, both of Yorkville; and her cherished grandchildren: Sofia, Olivia, Lincoln, Stella, Hudson, and Amelia. MaryAnne is also survived by her siblings, Raymond Keller of Yorkville and Barbara Navara of Minnesota; her sister-in-law, Cheryl Keller of Oswego, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Keller, and her brother, Frank Keller III.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 19, 2025, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2500 Arbeiter Road, Joliet, IL 60431. Interment will follow at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery, located at Columbia & North Ave., Naperville, IL.
