Mary Witman
Mary Catherine Witman, 76, of Etters and formerly of Harrisburg, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on September 1, 1948 in Harrisburg to the late Eugene and Rosemary (Kirwan) Sweigart.
Mary was retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Revenue as a clerk.
She was a devoted member of the Cathedral Parish of St. Patrick, Harrisburg and a member of the William Penn Social Association of Harrisburg. She enjoyed reading, playing the lottery, BINGO, cards, and board games. Having her family together to plays games together was her greatest joy. She had a fondness for taking care of animals.
Mary’s family will always remember her as an Angel on earth.
She was the widow of Frederick Witman, preceded in death by 3 brothers; Dick Sweigart, Sonny Sweigart and Bobby Sweigart.
Surviving is her sister, Regina A. Sweigart of Etters, 2 brothers; Joe Sweigart and his wife, Elaine of Atlanta, GA, James Sweigart of Hummelstown, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, February 21, 2025 at the Cathedral Parish of St. Patrick, 212 State Street, Harrisburg, PA 17101. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Harrisburg.
Viewing will be from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. on Friday at the Cathedral Parish of St. Patrick.
