In Loving Memory of Mary Deanna “Dee” Talleur

August 30, 1937 – June 22, 2025

Mary Deanna “Dee” Talleur, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on August 30, 1937, in St. Louis, Missouri, Dee grew up with a strong sense of family and community. She graduated from Rosati-Kain High School and, through her close-knit circle of friends, met the love of her life, Ernest F. Talleur. Together, they built a beautiful life and were blessed with three children. Dee and Ernie shared 25 joyful years of marriage until his passing in January 1985, creating a home filled with laughter, love, and countless memories-especially during pool parties and sporting events with their children.

In 1976, Dee and Ernie moved to the Lake of the Ozarks to pursue their dream of running a family business on the Bagnell Dam Strip. In the mid-1980s, Dee worked at Consumers Grocery Market and later found joy in retail sales. She had a vibrant spirit and a zest for life. Dee loved traveling, shopping, dancing to 1950s music, planting flowers, and preparing delicious family dinners. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought endless pride and happiness into her life.

Dee was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Mary Kipp; her beloved husband, Ernest F. Talleur Jr.; her sister, Nancy Hebel; her brother, Thomas Kipp; and her son-in-law, Michael Peters.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Tracy (Peters) Talleur, John (Freda) Talleur, and Lisa Talleur; her grandchildren: Michael (Joanne) Talleur and Kelly (Steven) Turner; and her great-grandchildren: Kalvin and Jackson Turner.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff at NHC Osage Beach Healthcare and Gentiva Hospice for their care and support. Your prayers and kindness have meant the world to us.

Dee’s love will be remembered in the hearts of those who knew her.
