Mary Ellen Ryan, Beloved daughter of the late James and the late Jeanne (nee Allman). Loving sister of Kathleen (David) McCarthy, Rebecca (the late Timothy) Wood, Jamie (Gerard) Thometz. Cherished aunt of Shannon (Chase), Kelly (Brian), Ryan (Jennifer), Jamie K (Mike), Kate (Nick), Bridget (Jeff), Ashley and Meghan (Michael). Dearest great aunt of 12, cousin and friend to many. A special thanks to her Best Buddy, Joanna Wagner. Mary was a joyful resident of Misericordia for the past 28 years, one of the first to live in the CILAS and finally in Quinlan Homes. We are grateful for the compassionate care and life lessons she received throughout those many years. A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Misericordia Benefactor’s Hall 6300 North Ridge Avenue, Chicago, IL. Memorial mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Misericordia Heart of Mercy Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Memory of Mary Ellen Ryan #3658 to Misericordia Heart of Mercy, 6300 N.
