Mary Fraser

Canton: Mary (Betty) K. Fraser, 92, of Partridge Knoll, Canton, NY died Friday, June 6, 2025 at her home while under the loving care of her family and Hospice and Palliative Care.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 from 10:30 AM to Noon with a Memorial Service to follow at Lawrence Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Canton with Rev. Michael P. Catanzaro officiating.

Burial for the family will be Thursday in Richfield Springs NY.

Born September 14, 1932, to the late Robert and Mary Robinson Klem in Cooperstown, NY. She graduated from Richfield Springs NY Central High School in 1950.

She married Robert McKenzie Fraser on August 23, 1952, at the First Presbyterian Church in Richfield Springs with the Rev. C. Frederic Fraser (father of the groom) officiating. 

Surviving are her husband Robert “Bob” Fraser of Canton; three children: Linda Fraser (Voorheesville, NY), Gary (Sheri) Fraser, Austin, TX, and Karen (Joseph) McAuliffe, Canton, NY, eight grandchildren: Justin Miller, Japan, Evan Miller, Viet Nam, Kelcey Fraser, Austin TX, Korey (Lyle) Dixon, Austin, TX, Kevin Fraser, San Diego, CA, Megan (John) Mousaw, Canton, NY, Kathryn (Kevin) O’Connell, Canton, NY and Ryan (Jessica) McAuliffe, Canton, NY and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother Charles Klem, Inlet, NY and one sister Marna Armstrong, West Winfield, NY. She was predeceased by two brothers Robert and David and two sisters Charlotte Butler and Constance Kiker.

Betty was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Canton. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and quilting. She especially loved her family.
