Mary Jean (Feyen) Guelig, age 83, of Fond du Lac, formerly of Johnsburg, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at St. Francis Terrace in Fond du Lac where she resided for the past almost two years.

She was born May 6, 1942, in Fond du Lac, to John “Jack” & Violet (Simon) Feyen. Mary Jean attended St. Mary’s Catholic Grade School in Fond du Lac and graduated from St. Mary’s Springs High School in 1960.

On October 19, 1963, she married Francis Guelig at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. Francis preceded her in death on August 19, 2023.

Mary Jean was employed by her brother, Don, at Feyen & Sons Morning Glory in Fond du Lac as office manager for 28 years. She finished her career with Modern Dairy of Kaukauna.

She was a member of Our Lady of The Holyland Parish-St. John’s Site in Johnsburg as well as the Altar & Rosary Society. Mary Jean enjoyed going to the casino with her husband Francis and their friends, playing cards with friends & family, going out to eat as well as other socializing activities.

Those left to cherish her memory include her three daughters, Jean (Dave) Tennis of Bayside, WI, Lori (Tom) Spletter of Fond du Lac, WI and Sheri (Tom) Rahmer of Princeton, WI; five grandchildren, Gracie Tennis, Maddi, Mariah, & Ian Spletter (special friend, Jaydin), and Katie (Dan) Kusilek; a great-granddaughter, Hazel Grace Kusilek; her brother, Don Feyen of Fond du Lac, WI; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Francis; her parents, John “Jack” & Violet Feyen; her sisters-in-law, Nancy Feyen and Anna Mae (Wilfred “Bill”) Nett; her brother-in-law, Oscar Guelig Jr. (his first wife, Rose, and his second wife, Ruth) as well as Oscar’s special friend, Rita.

A Liturgy Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Our Lady of the Holyland Parish-St. John’s Site in Johnsburg (N9288 County Road W, Malone, WI 53049). Rev. Paul Koenig, OFM Cap will officiate. Mary Jean will be laid to rest at a later time next to her husband at Calvary Mausoleum.

Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Mary Jean’s family at the church in Johnsburg on Saturday, July 26th, from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM.
