Marvin E. Schoenfeld, aged 95, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, in Thornton, Colorado. Born on December 26, 1929, in Brooklyn, New York, Marvin lived a life marked by dedication to his work, family, and country.
Marvin embarked on his professional journey as a computer programmer with Republic Aviation. His career culminated in a distinguished tenure at Automatic Data Processing (ADP), from which he retired after 30 years of exemplary service.
A man of varied interests, Marvin could often be found enjoying time at the gym or relaxing while watching his favorite sports, golf and baseball. He was also a proud member of the Elks Lodge, where he formed many cherished friendships over the years.
In addition to his professional and personal pursuits, Marvin served his country with honor as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. His sense of duty and patriotism remained evident throughout his life.
Marvin’s journey took him to various locales, including his native Brooklyn, Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, and finally Colorado, where he spent his remaining years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Anna Kline Schoenfeld, and his beloved wife, Joyce Schoenfeld, who passed away on August 1, 2019. Marvin leaves behind a host of extended family and friends who will fondly remember him and the impact he had on their lives.
A celebration of Marvin’s life will be held at 12:00 PM noon on Thursday, July 3, 2025, in the chapel of Shuler Funeral Home. Committal services will follow at 2:00 PM the same day at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain, NC.

Marvin E. Schoenfeld will be remembered as a dedicated professional, a loving husband, a loyal friend, and a proud veteran. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
