Marva Forell

Marva Forell, 65, of Sterling, Colorado, passed away in her home on June 10, 2025. Born on May 1, 1960, to Leland M. Barber and Eva M. Merrill, Marva was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, nana and friend whose life was marked by unwavering love, patience, and selflessness.

A lifelong resident of northeastern Colorado, Marva was admired for her tireless work ethic and deep devotion to her large family. She had a seemingly endless well of patience and kindness. Her quiet strength and loving nature made her a steady presence in the lives of all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Nickole Daniels (and husband Wes Daniels) of Fort Collins, CO; her son, Bryson Barber of Sterling, CO; her brothers Leland Barber (Sue Basiliko), David Barber (Kathy Barber), Randy Barber (Christa Barber), and Jerome Merrill (Jenna Merrill); and her sister, Marnet Kutchar (Dave Kutchar). Marva also leaves behind 3 granddaughters (Makayla, Madelyn, and Myla), many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Marva was preceded in death by her father, Leland M. Barber; her mother, Eva M. Merrill; and her brother, Kerry Barber.

To honor Marva’s life, a Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at The Knights of Columbus in Sterling, Colorado. Food will be served, and all who knew and loved her are warmly invited to attend and share in remembering the wonderful woman she was.
