Martha Vargas

Martha Vargas, age 71, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. She was born on January 19, 1954, in Managua, Nicaragua to Nicolas and Bertilda Vargas.

Martha was the heart and soul of her family—a devoted caretaker, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She dedicated her life to caring for her loved ones, and her nurturing spirit extended to everyone she encountered. Her home was a place of warmth, love, and comfort, and she will be remembered for her unwavering strength, kindness, and selflessness.

Martha was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Bertilda Cruz, and her father, Nicolas Vargas. She is survived by her children: Jaime Solis, Lubi Solis, and Christian Solis; her grandchildren: Samantha Solis, Jaime Solis Jr, Josue Solis, Hadassa Solis, Jeremy Villanueva, Jazyr Villanueva, Alex Ortiz, Leticia Ortiz, Miguel Solis, Cordell Farmer, Kristianna Solis, and Emilio Solis; and her great-grandson, Alessio Gamboa-Solis.

A devout member of the Tabernáculo de Fuego church, Martha’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. She found peace and purpose in her spiritual community, and her love for God was reflected in everything she did.

Martha’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She was a woman of grace, wisdom, and deep love, and her memory will continue to inspire her family and friends.
