Mark McCrodden, 77, of Ridgewood passed away peacefully at Villa Marie Claire in Saddle River, NJ on June 26. Born to the late John and Kathleen (Green) McCrodden, he grew up in Richmond Hill, NY. A graduate of Mater Christi High School and St. John’s University, Mark worked for Chase Manhattan Bank for over 25 years. He married his wife Patty Kelly in 1973, eventually starting a family and moving to New Jersey.
They spent many wonderful years together in their home in Ridgewood surrounded by family and friends. Mark was never happier than when spending time with the people he loved. He shared numerous stories about the life-long friendships and family bonds that were built over the years. Following his retirement, Mark enjoyed golfing, bowling, and playing cards as an active member of the Ridgewood Hobbyists Club.
Mark was a dedicated husband, father, family member, and Pop-Pop. In addition to his parents, Mark was predeceased by his sister Patricia Burns in 2013. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Patty, his children, Kelly Brown and her husband Corey of Ridgewood, NJ, Beth McCrodden of Alexandria, VA, and Brian McCrodden and his wife Breda of Charlotte, NC; his brother Brian McCrodden and wife MC of Queens, NY; his grandchildren Addison, Bella, Riley, Connor, McKenna, Andrew and Caleb; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 1:00 – 4:00 PM at Feeney Funeral Home, 232 Franklin Ave., Ridgewood, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to the American Cancer Society or Villa Marie Claire Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
Mark’s legacy of love, laughter, and community lives on in the countless lives that he touched.
