Marie Michel

Marie Mathilde Michel was born on September 13, 1930 in Haiti, the daughter of the late Marie Altida Delice and Luximond Michel.

Marie, a junior high school graduate, was a god fearing woman who loved going to church, as well reading her bible and spending time with her family. She was a woman of many talents, that utilized her gifts to become an entrepreneur ,hair dressing , sewing , and cooking were just a few ,devoted to her family she would also used her skills to do what she loved the most ….

caring for them.

When she moved to the US she worked as a manufacture worker and a babysitter until she retired.

On June 25,1949 , Marie got married to Rigaud Compere

They had a blissful marriage. Together they shared 8 children, where 4 were laid to rest.

After the death of her husband in 1988, she became a widow until the day of her passing (June 22, 2025)

Marie Mathilde Michel lived a life centered on faith and family. She was passionate about taking care of her loved ones and others. Family and friends who knew her best described Marie as loving, genuine, generous with a good sense of humor. She impacted so many lives in a positive and everlasting way. Marie had a great life and her memory will continue to inspire and shape us for generations.
