Marie Hawkins

Marie Hawkins, 84, widow of Howard Hawkins, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at Fountain Circle Care and Rehabilitation. A lifelong resident of Winchester, Kentucky, she was born on July 15, 1941, to the late Ike and Sarah Abner Boyd.

Marie was a devoted homemaker who found joy in life’s simple pleasures—fishing, working crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family. A woman of steadfast faith, she attended several churches throughout Winchester and found comfort in her spiritual walk.

She is survived by her children, Sarah (Tony) Crouch, William Boyd, Greg Griffett, Scott Griffett, Neva Baker, and Amber Fields; her sisters, Jenny Cain, Nancy Neal, and Etta Fraley; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marie was preceded in death by two children, Barry Griffett and Deborah Miller, and her daughter-in-law, Sabrina Griffett.

Honoring her wishes, Marie will be cremated. Private services will be held by the family.
