Margaret “Peggy” Geren
Age 77 of Owosso passed away Thursday, June 12, 2025.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Nelson-House Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Thompson officiating. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens . The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Margaret was born July 9, 1947 in Pensacola, Florida, the daughter of Harry and Dorothy (Franks) Rathbun.
She graduated from Corunna High School and was a member of the Shiawassee County Senior Center. She loved word searches and crafts such as cross stitch, embroidery and making fleece blankets. Most of all Peggy looked forward to shopping, shopping and yes, more shopping along with trip to the Casino and spending time with her family and friends.
She married Eldon Geren in Corunna on December 9, 1967.
Margaret was employed as a bus driver for R.E.S.D. for many years.
Margaret is survived by her husband Eldon; daughter Shelly (Joel) Todd; sons Chad Geren and Gregory (Lana) Geren; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild coming in July; brother Don (Nancy) Rathbun; brothers-in-law Fred Cummings and Bill Cummings; several nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, mother-in-law, 2 sisters and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law.
