Marco Garcia

Marco Andre Garcia passed away Saturday evening, July 26, 2025, in Phoenix, Arizona. He was only 56 years old. Marco was born June 1, 1969, at March Air Force Base in Moreno Valley, California, a son of the late Harry and Lucy Garcia.

Marco lived most of his life in Southern California with a short time in Idaho. At a young age Marco developed a love and appreciation for all forms of sport and music, which he carried throughout his life. Marco graduated from March Mountain High School, class of 1988. He married in 1994 in Las Vegas, becoming the stepfather to daughters Valerie, Erica and Amanda Balleza. He later divorced but stayed steadfast in the lives of his girls and their children. He spent the last 12 years of his life with his loving partner Angel Lemmon.

Marco worked over the years for Home Base, House 2 Home, Lowes, 3M and finally for the City of Phoenix, spending the last 8 years in the Aviation Department, which he loved.

He was a quiet person with a kind soul that was fiercely loyal. A generous person who always was doing everything he could to help and support others. He would always be the first one to jump in and support and hold others up even when his own life and health were in turmoil. He suffered greatly for the past 13 years with chronic health issues and pain and still managed to be kind and keep his faith in God. Marco will be truly and deeply missed by all who knew him, worked with him or were lucky enough to call him family.

Marco’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family, brother Harrison Garcia, sisters Sherrie Garcia and Lucia Byrne, brother-in-law Christopher Byrne, nieces Halie Byrne, Paige Byrne, Elissa Byrne, nephew Ethan Byrne, daughters Valerie Salmon, Erica Hatten, Amanda Balleza, and grandchildren Alyseona, Junior, Trevor, Landon and Giusepee.

Marco is preceded in death by his parents, and older brother Norman.

Visitation, memorial services and burial services will be held 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary & Cemetery in Scottsdale, Arizona.
