Lyon County Sheriff’s Office investigates fatal shooting in Silver Springs
On Monday, Feb. 10, 2025, at approximately 5 p.m., the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic violence call at a residence in the 3200 block of Spring Circle, Silver Springs.
Upon arrival, deputies learned that two individuals had barricaded themselves in a bedroom within the residence. Shortly thereafter, a shooting occurred inside the bedroom. Deputies forced entry and discovered two gunshot victims.
One individual was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the second was transported to Renown Regional Medical Center via Careflight. The second individual was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division responded and assumed control of the scene. This remains an active and ongoing investigation; however, there is no threat to public safety at this time.
No further information will be released tonight.
