Lyle Drake

Lyle F. Drake, 87 years, of Rome, passed away on Sunday September 7, 2025, at Rome Health. He was born on Thursday March 3, 1938 in Rome, the son of the late Walter and the late Anna (Garno) Drake. Lyle was married to the late Eugenis Jones. 

He worked for many years at Universal Linen in Utica. 

Lyle is survived by a son, Raymond Drake; a stepdaughter, Genie Vanasdale; two brothers, Merwin and William Drake; five grandchildren and one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews, including special nieces, Tessa Drake, Tonya Drake, and Laurie Szablewski. He was predeceased by a son, Lyle Jr.; four sisters, Lillian, Doris, Marge Ann, and Joanne; and three brothers, Walter Jr., Patrick and Henry. 

Family and friends are invited to call at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home Inc, 418 N. George Street, Rome, NY, 13440 on Wednesday, September 17th, from 1-2:00 p.m.with a Graveside Service  to follow at 2:30 PM at Evergreen Cemetery.
