Louis Scofidi, Jr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lou Scofidi, who left us on October 15, 2025 at the age of 80. A man of deep love, quick wit, and endless generosity, Lou touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was a devoted husband to JoAnn, whom he adored beyond measure, and a proud, loving father to Louis and Sherri. His family was the center of his world, and he gave them his whole heart, every single day.

Known for his sharp sense of humor, Lou could light up a room with a single comment

or well-timed joke. He had the rare gift of making people laugh while also making them

feel deeply seen and valued.

His generosity knew no bounds—whether it was his time, his wisdom, or his quiet acts

of kindness, Lou gave freely and humbly. He never sought recognition, only the joy of

helping others.

Though he is no longer with us, Lou’s spirit will live on in the stories we share, the

laughter we remember, and the love he instilled in those closest to him.

He is survived by his wife JoAnn, his son Louis and grandson Todd, and preceded in death by his daughter Sherri.

A memorial service will be held on October 21, 2025 at 3:00pm, visitation begins at 1:00pm at The Godfrey Funeral Homes of Egg Harbor Township, 4008 English Creek Avenue, Egg Harbor Township, NJ  where family and friends will gather to celebrate a life lived fully, joyfully, and with great love.

Due to allergies the family has requested no flowers. The family asks that donations be made to Shore Cancer Center, Somers Point, NJ 08244 in honor of Lou’s generous heart.
