Linda was born on September 25, 1940 in Little Orleans, MD to parents Ralph and Erma Wigfield. She was a beloved only child to Ralph and Erma and enjoyed a lifelong happy relationship with both of them their entire lives. Linda graduated from Hagerstown High School in Hagerstown, MD in 1958. Upon graduation, she attended secretarial school and subsequently went to work for Mack Truck in Hagerstown, MD where her father worked as an Engineer. In 1966, Linda married Henry Arthur Roemer III of Pittsburgh, PA. They moved to Bryn Mawr, PA to start their family and in 1971, her son Jon Henry was born. In 1972, Linda gave birth to her daughter, Kristin. Linda, Henry and the children moved to Pittsburgh shortly after the birth of Kristin and the lived their until retirement when they moved to New Smyrna Beach, FL.
Linda had a bottomless heart. She never held a grudge against anyone who wronged her and always forgave without hesitation. She had a very gentle way about her and always looked for the best in those she knew. Linda took pleasure from the simple things in life, the things that truly matter, though we sometimes forget. She loved just being in the presence of and watching her children and her grandchildren, carefree kisses from each and every puppy that met her (she could not resist puppy breath), any ratio of peanut butter to chocolate, hot coffee in the morning, being outside in perfect weather, North Carolina sunsets, Sanibel Island sunrises. She was always so easy to please and was mindful to always let her family know how much they were loved by her. Linda was an avid tennis player in her youth and enjoyed the game throughout her life. She was also a voracious reader. Linda will be deeply missed by her family and all those who knew and loved her.
