Linda Lanaski

Linda Ann Lanaski, a lifelong resident of Glenview, Illinois, passed away on June 2, 2025, at the age of 67. Linda was born on March 2, 1958, she was a light of gentleness and kindness, touching the lives of all who knew her with her loving nature.

Linda was the embodiment of steadiness and warmth, living in the same house throughout her entire life, where she cultivated not just her beautiful gardens but also countless cherished memories. Her gardens were a testament to her patience and care, blooming with vibrant flowers that became a sanctuary for her and the birds she loved to watch. Linda’s gift for bird watching was unmatched; she could name any bird by the mere sound of its call, a talent that enchanted both young and old alike.

A fervent Chicago Bears fan, Linda’s enthusiasm for her team was infectious. She celebrated each game with the same fervor and unwavering support, whether it was a victorious triumph or a heartbreaking loss. Her spirit and loyalty to her team were as perennial as the flowers in her garden.

But it was Christmas Eve that Linda held closest to her heart. Each year, she transformed her home into a winter wonderland, hosting the family she loved so dearly. These gatherings were a highlight for everyone, filled with laughter, love, and the magic that only Linda could create. Her joy during these times was palpable, and the memories of these celebrations will be cherished forever by those who were fortunate enough to attend.

Linda’s gentle soul and kind heart will be profoundly missed by her devoted brother, Robert, and his wife, Debbie; her loving niece, Christina; her cherished nephew, Nick; and her adored fur babies, Piper and Audrey. Linda’s presence was a gift to her family, and her absence will leave a space that cannot be filled.

Her legacy will live on in the beauty of the flowers that continue to bloom, in the songs of the birds she so loved, and in the hearts of her family and friends. Linda Ann Lanaski was a gentle, loving, and kind soul who made the world a better place simply by being in it. Her spirit will be remembered and celebrated, as she remains forever a treasured part of the lives she touched.
