Lewis Hydorn

Lewis Hydorn, age 88, of Rocky Mount, Missouri passed away on September 13, 2025 at his home. He was born on July 12, 1937 in Kincaid, KS; a son of James Edgar and Roberta Taylor (Marple) Hydorn. He was united in marriage to Teddy Sue on July 12, 1959 and she preceded him in death in 2009.

Lewis was a diesel mechanic his whole life and retired from Consolidated Freightways in Kansas City with over 35 years in the Teamsters Union. After Lewis retired, he worked 3 years at the Boys Ranch in Brighton MO as a night care taker for the boys and enjoyed talking with the boys and doing his best to lead them in the right direction in life. He loved camping the most, always willing to share his trips with family and friends. His love for making homemade ice cream was never ending sharing with everyone he could. He was a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan from the day they came to Kansas City.  His kindness and love will be deeply missed.

Lewis is survived by son, Ted (Kelly) Hydorn of Rocky Mount. Lewis was preceded by his wife Teddy Sue; parents; He was the proud grandpa of 5 grandkids, Bryan, Britni, Whitney, Brianna, and Mikenna, and 9 great grandkids that he loved so so much and so proud of them as well.
