Letitia Sharp

Letitia Mae Sharp, 93, of Springfield, IL, passed away on November 16, 2025. She was born on May 20, 1932, in Salisbury, IL to Edward Jacoby and Elsie Ferguson. She married Orland Sharp on August 5, 1950, and he preceded her in death on November 24, 1995.

She is also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Audrey Thompson; and son-in-law, Richard Oglesby.

She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia (Philip) Sutton of Mahomet, IL and Judith Oglesby of Springfield, IL; son, Matthew (Della) Sharp; twin sister, Patricia Craig of Hilmar, CA; grandchildren, Angie (Jef) Lindsey, Brad (Mandy)Sutton, Eric (Muneba) Sutton, Steve (Mallory) Freitag, Hayley (Jeff) Pollock, Evan Sharp; Great grand children, Max Lindsey, Alexa Sutton, Ben Sutton, Charles Lindsey, Brooke Freitag, Zayne Sutton, Sam Freitag, Dean Sutton, Christopher Pollock; and a niece and two nephews.

Letitia was a homemaker and enjoyed canning vegetables and fruits. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 9:00 am – 11:00 am, Saturday, November 22, 2025, at South Side Christian Church.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am, Saturday, November 22, 2025, at South Side Christian Church with Pastor Brooks Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Farmington Cemetery in Farmingdale.
