Lesley Edwards

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lesley “Les” Edwards, who left us far too soon at the age of 58. A loving father, proud veteran, and man of quiet strength.

Born on April 5th,1967, Les served his country with honor as a member of the Army, carrying with him a lifelong sense of discipline, courage, and service. After his time in the military, he dedicated his life to what mattered most: his family.

Les was a devoted father, always putting his children first. His love was unwavering, his presence constant, and his support unconditional. Whether it was a quiet moment on the lake with a fishing rod in hand or a walk through the woods, Les found peace in nature and joy in sharing those moments with the people he loved.

Known for his warmth, loyalty, and deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures, Les will be remembered for the way he showed up for others—with love, patience, and heart.

He is survived by his mother and father, Shirley “Diane” and Richard Edwards; his life partner, Laura Reinert; his sister, Stephanie (Matt) Burkel; his brother, Rodney Edwards; his children, Shay (Andrea) Montana, Hunter (Travis) Haynes, Lexi (Frank) Montana-Edwards, and Seth (Madelyn) Montana-Edwards; grandchildren, Madi and Wyatt; the mothers of his children, Jen Edwards-Steffani and Victoria Montana; and his devoted dog, Rosie.

A private family service will be held to honor Les’s life, followed by a celebration of life open to family and friends on October 11th, 2025 at the Rockton American Legion Post #332, 221 W. Main Street, Rockton, IL 61072 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Les’s memory will live on through his children, in the lives he touched, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely.
