Leslea Smith

FUQUAY-VARINA – Leslea Gayle Smith, 62, went to be with the Lord on Saturday.

Born in Victoria, Texas to Manuel & Dorothy Smith, Leslea spent her childhood living in Wharton, Texas before moving to North Carolina. She was sweet, kind, and always full of humor and will be remembered for the many lives she touched.

Leslea is survived and deeply missed by her brother, Jeffrey (Staci) Smith of Royse City, Texas.

Nephews, Kyle (Jessica) Smith of Waller, Texas and Ty Smith of Madison, Tennessee; two great nephews, Noah and Abel Smith of Waller, Texas; Friend and caregiver, Alice Faye McKethen, as well as extended family.

She will also be missed by Pastor Rudy Manriquez and her church family at Hilltop Church and the many friends her sweet nature amassed during her life.

Leslea was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Alfred and Michael and her sister Joni.

For the convenience of the family, private grave side services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations to be made to Meals on Wheels or The Special Olympics in memory of Leslea.
