Lenda Lancaster
Lenda Sue Lancaster, 79, of Jones Prairie in Milam County died Sunday, September 7, 2025 at her home. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Little River Baptist Church in Jones Prairie. Burial will follow in the Little River Baptist Church Cemetery.
Ms. Lancaster was born July 5, 1946 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Raymond Russell and Virginia Anne (Brown) Kilburn. She received her undergraduate degree in social work from Idaho State University and her Master’s from Walla Walla University in Washington State. She worked as a clinical social worker for the Department of Veteran Affairs helping homeless veterans with drug and alcohol addiction, which was her passion. She was preceded in death by 5 siblings, Doyle Kilburn, Nina Hill, Pauline Medeci, Dale Kilburn and Naomi Kilburn. She is survived by:
