Laurie Smith

Laurie Virginia Smith of Holly Hill, 62, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at her home. Born in Bethesda, MD, on July 23, 1962, to the late Orville Smith and Phyllis Brown, she lived in Holly Hill for 52 years. Laurie was a 1980 graduate of Warner Christian Academy and earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Tift College in Forsyth, Georgia. Laurie worked for the Disney Corporation, driving buses from the resorts to the parks and back. She was an Elder and a long- time member of Highlands Presbyterian Church. Her parents predecease Laurie. She is survived by her brother, Timothy Smith (Kandie) of St. Augustine, her sister Belinda Dawson of Orlando, two nephews,  Adam Smith (Jessy) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Christopher Dawson (Tania) of Castle Rock, Colorado, and three nieces, Rebecca Smith of Cincinnati, Ohio, Kaitlyn Rocheleau (Chris) of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Kelsey Dawson of Chesapeake, VA. 

Laurie will be laid to rest at Daytona Memorial Park in Daytona Beach, FL.
