Laurie Louise “Laurie-Lou” Fountain, 63, of Congress Street, Rensselaer Falls passed away the morning of Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 1:00 PM in Hermon Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Crary Mills Presbyterian Church, 159 County Road 35, Canton, NY 13617.

Lawrence Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Canton has been entrusted with Laurie’s care and arrangements.

Laurie was born a daughter to the late Junior Basil Fountain and Ethel “Bubbles” Rose (Bulluck) Fountain in Canton NY on August 17, 1962.  She was a member of the Class of 1983 at Edwards-Knox Central School.

She was employed as a production worker for NYSARC in Hermon.

Surviving are her two sisters Kathy (Thomas) Whitmarsh of Canton and Susan Fountain of Canton; her brother Basil Fountain of West Pierrepont; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister-in-law “Midge” Fountain and a brother Bruce Law.

Laurie was a member of Crary Mills Presbyterian Church.  She enjoyed singing karaoke, was involved in Community Arts with NYSARC, loved professional wrestling, as well as watching the Andy Griffith Show and The Lawrence Welk Show.
