Laura nació el 21 de noviembre de 1938 en Colotlán, Jalisco, México, y pasó la mayor parte de su vida en San Francisco, California, donde construyó una vida basada en el amor, la resiliencia y una fe inquebrantable.

Fue la amada esposa del fallecido Everardo “Lalo” Márquez, con quien compartió toda una vida de devoción y compañerismo. Juntos criaron a tres hijas —Martha, Guadalupe y Norma— a quienes educaron con fortaleza, compasión y gracia.

Laura fue una abuela orgullosa y profundamente querida por Patricia, Roberto, Sofía y Alexandria. Fue una presencia constante y amorosa en sus vidas — siempre lista con palabras de aliento, sabiduría reflexiva y una fuerza tranquila. Su amor moldeó sus corazones y vivirá para siempre en sus recuerdos y relatos.

También fue profundamente querida por sus yernos, quienes la admiraban por su calidez, su sentido del humor y su apoyo incondicional.
