October 1, 1967 – July 22, 2025

Laura Lee Glover, 57, of New Hope, passed away Tuesday.

Laura Lee was born in Huntsville and grew up in New Hope among a loving extended family. New Hope Methodist Church and it’s members were an important part of her early years. Laura Lee completed New Hope High School in 1986 and began the next adventure of her life attending Baddour Memorial Center in Senatobia, Mississippi. Baddour, a residential community for those with special needs, was one of the best experiences of her life. For many years, she was able to travel with the Miracles choir, as well as compete in sports. In later years, she resided in several group homes in and around Madison County and continued outings with friends and family. Most recently, Laura Lee was a resident of Huntsville Health and Rehab due to health issues. Our family is deeply grateful to the staff and employees who cared for her, and for us, as if we were family. This was especially true following the loss of our beloved mother, Patsy Glover, with whom Laura Lee shared a profound and special bond. Laura Lee’s wit, humor, and love lives on within our family and all that she touched in life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry W. Glover and Patricia Carpenter Glover.

Surviving are siblings, Elizabeth Ann (Jeff) Webster, Thomas Carpenter (Danielle) Glover and Samantha Cushing Atkinson; nieces and nephews Caroline (Palmer) Williams, James Webster, Owen Cushing Atkinson, Harrison Glover, and Ella Glover. Also surviving is her stepfather, Durwood Cushing.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 27, 2025 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at New Hope Methodist Church. Services will follow at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Michael Carpenter officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to New Hope Methodist Church.
