We come together today to celebrate the life of Latrica Lynn Blevins, fondly known to friends and family as Teresa, who left this world on July 18, 2025, at the age of 59. Born on March 13, 1966, in Springfield, Missouri, Teresa’s presence brought light and joy to those around her throughout her remarkable journey on earth.

Teresa’s life was one of connection and love, a tapestry woven with the relationships she cherished deeply. Although preceded in death by her father, Steven Ray Blevins, her mother, Deana Kay Delcarlo, her brother Darren Blevins, and her son-in-law Gary Joe Hansen, Teresa’s legacy continues through her beloved family. Her brother Bradley Jason Blevins; her children Samuel and Amanda Dameron, Jesse and Kelsey Young, and Cody Young; and her adored grandchildren Alexander Hansen, Penelope Hansen, Noah Dameron, Elijah Dameron, Ezekiel Young, and Gideon Young, will carry forward the memories and values she instilled in them. Teresa is also fondly remembered by her cousins Melissa George, Jana Aven and family, the Swearengins, and the Johns, all of whom were integral parts of her life.

Professionally, Teresa dedicated the last years of her life to the Ozark Veterinary Clinic in Ozark, Missouri, where her compassion for animals and her commitment to their care were evident to all who worked alongside her. Her colleagues remember her not just for her work ethic but for the warmth and kindness she brought to the clinic every day.

Her interests painted a picture of a woman who embraced the beauty of life with open arms. Teresa loved to travel, with the ocean holding a special place in her heart. She found solace in art, joy in reading, inspiration in writing, and entertainment in watching westerns. Her favorite band, the Eagles, provided a soundtrack to many cherished moments in her life.

In the words of the great poet Maya Angelou, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Teresa made everyone around her feel loved, valued, and important. Her laughter was infectious, her advice was sought after, and her ability to listen made her a confidant to many.

As we say goodbye to Teresa, we reflect on a life well-lived, a journey full of passion, and a legacy of love that will be felt for generations to come. Her spirit, forever etched into the hearts of those she touched, will continue to shine brightly as a beacon of the joy and kindness she so freely gave. Teresa Lynn Blevins will be deeply missed, but her story—a narrative of love, family, and faith—will be told for years to come.

The Celebration of life will be held at Sparta First Baptist Church from 11 to 1230 on Saturday the 26th. Flowers should be sent to 372 Crocodie ave Sparta mo by Friday.
