Kimberly Christine Ramsey, beloved wife, mother, and devoted public servant, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025, surrounded by family and friends after a courageous seven-year battle with cancer.
Born in Chicago on June 6, 1977, Kimberly moved with her family to Colorado at the age of four. She grew up in Aurora, Denver, and Commerce City, attending several school districts before graduating from Adams City High School.
As a young adult, Kimberly explored various careers before finding her true calling with the Colorado State Patrol. There, she built a long, fulfilling, and successful career, serving in multiple roles with dedication and pride.
In 1999, Kimberly welcomed her son, Jonathan, who became her greatest motivation and focus in life. Following a brief marriage and divorce, fate reunited Kimberly in 2013 with her high school love, Paul Ramsey. Their rekindled romance blossomed, leading to marriage in 2015.
In 2018, Kimberly was diagnosed with cancer. Through unwavering faith in the Lord and the support of an excellent medical team, she bravely overcame the disease twice. Despite a recurrence, Kimberly faced chemotherapy, radiation, and brain surgery with remarkable strength and grace. Throughout her illness, she continued to work and live life on her own terms, inspiring those around her with her resilience and faith.
Kimberly is remembered for her strength, deep love of faith, family, and friendship. She leaves behind her husband, Paul Ramsey; her son, Jonathan; her brothers, Jack and Michael; and many cherished extended family members.
A celebration of Kimberly’s life will be held to honor her memory and legacy.
