Kiah Evans

Kiah Jerome Evans the beloved son of Edna Evans and the late Edward Evans, departed this life suddenly on March 2, 2025 at the age of 51. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on September 27, 1973.

Kiah was educated in the public schools of Baltimore City, graduating from George W.F. McMechen High School, “Class of June 1994”. He was a happy, bubbly, curly head baby who was attached to his mothers’ hip from day one until Kiah’s last day. His mom helped him accomplish many childhood milestones that the medical doctors said he would never be able to achieve. Kiah always told her he wanted to purchase her a big house or mansion one day, Kiah was definitely a Momma’s boy.

Growing up he wanted to drive tractor trailers, and had a fondness for fire trucks – always running outside when he heard one coming. Kiah had an appetite for food and his siblings always joked saying he had a bottomless pit. Kiah loved to watch television, especially WWF wrestling and karate programs, especially with his father before his passing.

Kiah relished spending quality time with his children, and they just loved their dad. When you saw him there was always a huge smile behind his “Hello, how are you doing?”

Kiah accepted Christ as his personal savior under the Leadership of Bishop Jacob Chambliss at St. Luke Apostolic church in Baltimore, Maryland before moving to South Carolina, where he later joined Deliverance Outreach Ministry Church under Bishop Allen Conyers along with his four children.

In addition to his father, Kiah was preceded in death by his younger brother Christopher Evans.

He leaves to mourn his mother, Edna Evans; four children, Kiah Jr., Malachi, Quiasha and Makiah; sisters, Kelly and Nakia; brothers, Edward “Tony” {Monie} and Huey {Shelby}; a best friend to the end Kenya Fields; loving aunts and uncles; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends that will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.

Kiah’s infectious smile, sweet personality, gentle soul, and kind demeanor will always be remembered and truly missed.
