Kevin Deisler

In Loving Memory of Kevin Brian Deisler, Age 62, of Hartford, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 2, 2025.

The family invites friends and loved ones to join them for a time of remembrance at Nelson-House Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 2 PM to 5 PM.

Kevin was born on September 9, 1962, in Owosso, the cherished son of Harold and Patricia (Jensen) Deisler.

A true adventurer at heart, Kevin embraced life with laughter and an endless repertoire of dad jokes—some so famously cheesy that his daughters lovingly rolled their eyes, while his grandkids declared him the undisputed champion of groan-worthy punchlines. Whether sneaking in a pun or making everyone laugh with his quick wit, he had a way of lighting up any room with joy.

He found freedom on the open road, taking long motorcycle rides with the wind in his face and a heart full of appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. He had a natural gift for mechanics and fixing things—whether it was tinkering with an engine, repairing something around the house, or lending a helping hand to anyone in need. An avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing, exploring nature, and working with his hands, always eager to make, mend, or improve whatever he could.

Above all, Kevin’s greatest joy came from his family. His daughters and grandchildren were the center of his world, and he made it his mission to ensure every visit was filled with laughter, love, and, of course, a perfectly timed joke. From backyard adventures to heartfelt conversations, he created memories that will live on in their hearts forever.

Professionally, Kevin dedicated his skills and passion to CN Railroad, leaving a legacy of hard work and commitment. He was also the proud co-owner of Deisler Outdoor Power Equipment, where his entrepreneurial drive and hands-on expertise shaped a business that served the community. Although he had since moved on, the company remained an important part of his professional journey and a testament to his dedication to craftsmanship and service.

He is lovingly survived by his daughters, Cera (Kenneth) Deisler-Bastin, Nichole Deisler, and step-daughter Ashley (Shaun) Shiley; his grandsons, David, Kyle, Mateo, Brantley, and Robert; his granddaughters Adeleyah and Evelynn; as well as his sister Julia (Deisler) Scott and his brother David Deisler. He is also remembered fondly by numerous other family members and friends whose lives he touched.

Kevin is reunited in spirit with his parents, Harold and Patricia Deisler, as well as his sister, Debora Thomas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kevin’s honor are suggested to support the family.
