Kevin Bazemore

Kevin Wyoming Bazemore, was born August 9, 1974, to the late Wyoming “Buddy” Bazemore and Mary Ann “May” Getter Bazemore in Baltimore, Maryland. He attended Baltimore City Public Schools where he graduated from Forest Park Senior High in 1993.

Kevin’s love of football came from his dad, Buddy who played in school and semi-professional ball. His parents were his biggest cheerleaders when he played football. Kevin’s favorite team was the Baltimore Ravens. He loved talking stats, discussing plays with his family and friends.

Kevin has an extensive collection of action figures that he started collecting as a child, and a collection of video games. Both collections grew as he did.

Kevin was a friend to many, and his easy-going demeanor allowed him to make friends easily. His sense of humor was contagious. His laugh will never be forgotten. His interactions with us were full of laughter, love, and sincere conversations.

After graduating from high school, Kevin relocated to Windsor, NC, along with his parents. While in Windsor, he met the love of his life, Lakeisha. To this union 3 children; Kameron, Seyadé, and Kindred were born. Kevin’s love for his family was unshakable. 

When he would talk about their achievements and their mishaps, you could feel the love he had for them as well as hear the pride in his voice.

Kevin and his family decided to move to Raleigh, NC. Although they lived there, they would come back to Windsor for special family occasions and to visit with his cousin, Wash.

While in Raleigh, Kevin attended and graduated from Sherrill’s University of Barbering and Cosmetology to become a barber. He later worked in security at P & G Security.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Michael, his son Kameron, his nephew Nicholas, his uncle Arthur.

Left to cherish Kevin’s memory is his wife, Lakeisha; daughter Seyadé; son, Kindred Wyoming; grandson, Zane Romari-Wyoming; brother, Anthony Wyoming, Sr. (Evonne); nephews, Anthony Wyoming, Jr., Evan Wyoming, Tevin, Marcus, Shequan, Joseph, Elyzha; nieces Davidra, Alyssa, Amanda, Gabrielle, Jada, Ebony, Teyonna, Jazmyn, Aja; uncles, Joseph Bazemore, Nathaniel Williams (Maria), Ernest Getter (Diane), Harold Getter; aunts, Marie Webb, Roseva Gilliam, Shirley Ann Getter, Diane Bazemore; mother-in-love, Georgia Bond; father-in-love, Terry Bond; brother-in-love, Troy Bond (Elizabeth); sisters-in-love, Aretha Bazemore, Michelle Wiggins and Monique Bell; great nephews, great nieces, and a host of cousins, including the Bazemore Tribe, and friends.
