Kenneth Parmenter

Kenneth David Parmenter, 62, of Bradenton, FL, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, following complications from diabetes.

Born in Worcester, MA, Ken was the son of Phillip Parmenter and Grace (Fuller) Parmenter. He graduated from Lebanon High School in Lebanon, NH, in 1981, and spent over a decade working as a CNC Machinist at Split Ball-Bearing and NH Ball-Bearing. In 1998, Ken relocated to Florida, where he found joy and purpose as a skilled woodcraftsman, creating large, beautiful doors that reflected his artistry and care.

Ken loved skiing, woodworking, computer programming, and spending time with his family. He was especially fond of his cat, Dusty. Ken was known for his kindness and generosity and was always ready to lend a hand.

Ken is survived by his partner, Sheilah Wilson; stepdaughter, Cayle Preston (James and Roan); stepson, Bryan Sullivan; mother, Grace Parmenter; brother, Lee Parmenter (Ferne); sister, Paula Thompson (Bob); nephew, Brian Thompson; and aunt, Diane Parmenter.

He was predeceased by his father, Phillip Parmenter; uncles, David Parmenter and Kenneth Fuller; and Dick Dill.

A memorial gathering may be held at a later date; the family will share details when available. A donation to the Humane Society of Manatee County, Florida in Ken’s name would be greatly appreciated.
