He will be forever missed by his loving Wife Alicia, Daughter; Brielle, Parents; Gerald and Valerie Smallwood. Siblings; Troy and Tammy. Nieces and nephews Randi (Scott)Wyatt, Kayle and Finn.
Predeceased Vernon and Alice Smallwood, Frank and Effie Nash and nephew Tyler.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kelly Smallwood, a beloved son, husband, father, and friend to all who left us too soon.
Kelly dedicated 13 years of his life as an operator at the Whitecourt sawmill, where he forged lasting connections with his coworkers through his genuine kindness and infectious humor.
Born in Brooks, Alberta, Kelly’s family later settled in Grande Prairie, where he formed lifelong friendships and unforgettable childhood memories. Kelly spent some time in Central Alberta before embarking on a new adventure on Vancouver Island. Kelly soon met Alicia in the fall of 2008 in Chemainus BC and from the outset, it was clear they had discovered a true home in each other. Their love flourished rapidly, culminating in the joyous birth of their daughter, Brielle, in 2011. The family moved to Whitecourt Alberta in the summer of 2012, and on September 3, 2016, they exchanged vows on the Island, surrounded by the beauty of the place their journey began.
As a devoted husband and father, Kelly was the cornerstone of his family. His love was unconditional, always making time for those he cherished. His genuine light never dimmed, and he shared that love and laughter with everyone who crossed his path.
Kelly’s bond with his daughter, was especially unique. Introducing her to his favorite bands and patiently taught her how to play the bass, nurturing her passion for music. His influence shaped Brielle’s love for music, creating countless cherished memories together.
Through every challenge, Kelly stood steadfast by his family, wanting nothing more than their happiness. His unwavering spirit will continue to guide as the family navigates life without him.
Finding the words to honor Kelly feels nearly impossible, but we will carry his love and memories with us always, cherishing the profound impact he had on our lives.
