With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life so brightly lived, we announce the passing of Kaylyn Lewis, who left this world far too soon. Kaylyn was the kind of person whose presence could light up a room – the undeniable life of the party, a free spirit who danced like no one was watching and lived with the volume turned all the way up.
A true lover of rock ‘n’ roll, Kaylyn carried a rhythm in her soul that matched her unstoppable energy. Whether it was on the dance floor, at a concert, or simply singing along with friends, she radiated joy and brought others into her orbit with ease.
More than just her love for music and movement, Kaylyn was a woman of deep faith, baptized in the name of Jesus and filled with a spiritual warmth that touched everyone she met. Her love for God was fierce, unshakable, and full of light – as comforting and powerful as the sun itself.
Kaylyn loved people wholeheartedly and unconditionally, seeing and embracing them for exactly who they were. Her love was never shallow or fleeting – it was deep, honest, and rooted in truth. She carried a rare wisdom that guided how she cared for others, offering kindness, compassion, and insight in equal measure. Kaylyn loved people well – with sincerity, with strength, and with a heart that never held back.
Those blessed enough to know her will remember her laughter, her spark, and the way she loved without hesitation. Though our hearts are broken, we find peace in knowing she is now dancing among Jesus and his angels, free and full of glory.
Kaylyn’s legacy lives on in every beat of the music she loved, every step taken in joy, and every act of love done in her memory.
She will be forever missed and always celebrated.
Kaylyn is survived by her daughter Kendra Shields (Nicholas; her grandchildren Koralyn Shields and Kingston; her siblings Elsie, Preston, Kathy, and Karla; her nieces nephews; her extended family; her close special friends and a lot of extended children; other relatives and friends.
