Karen Jean Jarnagin

May 12, 1944 – October 2,2025

Karen passed away peacefully on October 2nd, 2025, at the age of 81. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Karen lived a life full of love and laughter. Karen attended Catholic schools and some college. She joined the County of Los Angeles’ Heath Department and her career spanned over 40 years.

She was the happiest when spending time with her daughter and grandchildren, tending to her garden, going to The Pantages Theatre, and attending USC football games. She was a force of nature who was never afraid to share her opinions. She was organized, hospitable, fashionable, fun to be around, and most of all loyal. Over her life, she traveled extensively, found spirituality, and created countless memories.

Karen is survived by her daughter (Kathleen Tait Jarnagin), her grandchildren (Henry Tait Dorosin and Lucy Tait Dorosin), her brother (Gary De Boise), and her nieces (Michelle Pachman, Jennifer Martin, and Sarah De Boise). She is preceded in death by her loving husband (Richard Tait Jarnagin) and her sister (Linda De Boise).

Karen will be deeply missed, but always fondly remembered for her love and generosity as a wonderful Mom, Grams, Sister, Aunt, and Friend.

Memorial Services and a Celebration of Life were held on Saturday, October 18th, 2025, at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Hollywood Hills and The Smoke House Restaurant.
