With profound sorrow and enduring love, we share the passing of our beloved son and brother, Kade Michael Groff, who left this world on July 31, 2025, at the age of 17.

Kade was a warrior in every sense of the word. Born with challenges that would have broken lesser spirits, he faced a million uphill battles with grace, grit, and a smile that could light up the darkest room. His life was not defined by limitations, but by the infinite joy he gave and the strength he carried in his heart.

Though his body may have struggled, Kade’s spirit soared. He taught us what courage truly looks like—not loud or boastful, but quiet, steady, and full of love. He found beauty in the smallest moments and gave it back tenfold to those lucky enough to know him.

Kade is survived by his devoted parents, Kevin and Kelly Groff, and his cherished sister, Kaela, who shared a bond with him that was deep, playful, and full of unconditional love. He also leaves behind a community of family, friends, caregivers, and teachers who were forever changed by his presence.

To know Kade was to witness a soul that radiated warmth, love, strength, and resilience. He lived with infinite smiles—smiles that defied pain, that lifted others, that reminded us all to be grateful for each breath, each laugh, each hug.

A celebration of Kade’s life will be held at Dave & Busters in Desert Ridge on August 10, 2025 from 11-2pm where we will celebrate the boy who taught us how to love fiercely, live bravely, and smile through the storm. Since Kade did not live a typical life, we’re gathering to honor a beautiful life lived, not to mourn a loss in the traditional sense. This will be a joyful, heartfelt celebration filled with stories, laughter, games and love. Please come as you are.
