June Wayne (Seba Delkai) Bahe, 96, of Winslow, Arizona passed away on September 15, 2025,
surrounded by loved ones in her home. June was born April 15, 1929 in Seba delkai, Arizona unto
Hosteen W. and her birth mother. Her marriage to Nelson Bahe ended when her husband passed
away-it is not known the duration of their marriage.
June Bahe aka Grandma June (to literally everyone). She didn’t have a lot of hobbies, just many things
she was good at or that were second nature to her such as cooking, sewing, and planting. She had
one heck of a green thumb that she passed on to her son Wilson Bahe. She made food for anyone
and everyone, especially guests. If you knew Grandma June, there are two or maybe three things you
knew about her: 1. Her birthdate is in 1928 because she was born at home on the reservation; 2. She
loved to laugh; 3. She enthusiastically supported wrestling. “GET THE CHAIR!” she’d scream out on
Monday night RAW.
But there’s not one way to just sum up her life, it was filled with heartache, love, compassion and
integrity. She was a humble woman who forever showed kindness and tenacity.
June is survived by her children Wilson, Rita, Ida and Earlita Bahe. June’s grandkids Cynthia,
Marthalene, Lucinda, Linda, Marklin, Tina, Sharon, Christine, Karina, Krystal, Kevin, Jason, Kasi, and
Isaac. Furthermore their children and grandchildren, bestowing June from grandma all the way to
great, great grandma.
She is preceded in death by her birth mother, unknown, her father Hosteen W., her spouse Nelson
Bahe. Her siblings Pearl Nelson, Harriet Wilson, Hilda Chase and Benjamin Bahe; Her children
Marlene Etsitty, Robert Bahe and their two other sisters, and her grandson Mark Trujillo.
