Julio Baez

Julio Ernesto Baez, age 90, of Bronx, NY, passed away on July 23, 2025.

Born on July 29, 1934, in Bani, Dominican Republic, Julio grew up in Dominican Republic. In 1970, he arrived in the U.S. and lived many of his years in Lawrence, Massachusetts and arrived to The Bronx in 1986. He lived a vibrant and full life and worked for many years in the bodega.

Julio had a deep love for music, dancing — always bringing energy and joy wherever he went. He was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. Julio was predeceased by his loving sons, Julin and Radno. He leaves behind a family who adored him: his loving wife Rosa, his sons Brian and Clayton, and his daughters Zulema and Lissette along with his grandchildren. Julio is also survived by many cherished relatives, and countless friends who were like family.

Julio will be remembered for his big heart, his love for family, and the joy he spread through laughter, music, and every meal shared. His legacy lives on in every warm memory, every story told, and every good time that brings people together.
