Judy Lynn (Warren) Pierce
Judy Lynn Pierce, age 79, of Maysville, MO passed away on October 2, 2024 at MosaicHospital in St. Joseph, MO. She was born in Maysville, MO on December 30, 1944 to parents Hubert (Snooks) and Virginia (Smith) Warren. Judy was a lifelong resident of Maysville.
Judy graduated from Maysville High School in 1963 and then attended cosmetology school in St. Joseph, MO in 1964. She owned Arcadia Beauty Salon in Maysville, MO with Norma Porterfield and Sheryl Harms from 1965-1982. She eventually sold the salon and continued working with Sharon Kanack at the HairportSalon until 2004.
Judy was an avid reader and loved to watch soap operas. She was a great cook and would can many vegetables from the garden during the summer. She also enjoyed going to Las Vegas to play the slots and going to shows.
On January 17, 1969 she married Terry D. Pierce with whom they shared 55 years of marriage. Together they raised two children: Sherri (Chuck) Woods, and Greg Pierce.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Kathy Warren and Carol Wright and son Greg Pierce. She is survived by her loving husband, Terry, daughter Sherri, (Chuck) and grandchildren Bryce (Meghan Wellman), Ally (Jay Dimaggio) and Justin Woods.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 10:00 am at Turner Family Funeral Home in Maysville, with a graveside service at 11:30 at Fairport Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to Fairport Cemetery.
Judy will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
