Judith Tarallo
- August 11, 2025

Judith “Judy” Jo Tarallo, age 83, of Westerville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, August 5, 2025, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
Born on April 13, 1942, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Judy was the beloved daughter of the late Robert Joseph Staph and Eleanore Violet (Blitz) Staph.
Judy found her greatest joy in being a devoted mother and grandmother. She cherished her role as a mother to Richard and Julie. She always looked forward to Richard’s visits, which brought her comfort, laughter, and a sense of closeness that meant the world to her. Her bond with her daughter Julie was especially close, marked by deep friendship and mutual admiration. Julie felt truly blessed to have Judy live with her and her husband over the last several years-a time filled with love, companionship, and treasured memories.
Judy adored her grandson, Skyler, whose presence brought her endless happiness. Even as he grew into adulthood, her love for him never wavered. She especially treasured the days when he was young, delighting in their time together at the park-moments filled with laughter, play, and pure joy.
Judy retired, after 20 years, from the IRS as problem resolution representative, where her patience and empathy served her well.
A talented and passionate crafter, Judy excelled in cross-stitch, quilting, embroidery, and sewing. She often made her own clothes and created beautiful quilts that earned ribbons at the Wyoming State Fair, a testament to her artistry and dedication. Judy was a gifted piano player, known for playing by ear with grace and feeling-a love of music that stayed with her throughout her life.
She also had a special affection for dogs, always ready with a treat and a gentle touch. Her warmth extended beyond her family, touching neighbors and friends alike.
Judy will be remembered for her creativity, her gentle spirit, and the love she poured into everything she did.
Judith is preceded in death by her husband Roy Tarallo. Judith is lovingly remembered by her daughter Julie Jo (Tom) Scherr of Westerville; son Richard (Sue) Massetti of McKinney, Texas; brother Terry Staph of Pocono Pines, Pennsylvania; and grandson Skyler (Bethany) Scherr of Gallaway.
The Snyder Funeral Homes – Delaware Chapel is honored to serve Judy’s family in
