Juana Chavez

Juana “Janie” Chavez, born September 13, 1957, in San Antonio, Texas, entered into eternal rest on September 8, 2025, at the age of 67.

Juana was a devoted and beloved wife to her husband of 38 years, Rigoberto Chavez. Together they built a beautiful life filled with love, family, and cherished memories. She leaves behind her children, David Julian Hernandez, Monica Rodriguez, and Paula Hernandez, who will carry her strength and love with them always.

She was blessed with 14 grandchildren: Monique, Juan, Brianna, Leah, Jonathan, Angelina, Ariel, Victoria, Juanita, Fatima, and Matthew. As she made her way to heaven, she was reunited with three of her precious grandchildren, Cinthya, Juliana, and Ruben Jr. Juana was also a proud great-grandmother to 11: Nilah, Dario, Lylah, Julian, Vicente, Antonio, Dominic, Angelo, Alena, Fernando, and one sweet baby boy soon to be welcomed into the family.

Known as a loving aunt, godmother, friend, and “Nana” to all who knew her, Juana had a heart that never stopped giving. Her home was always open, a place where everyone felt welcome, cared for, and loved. She enjoyed simple yet meaningful pleasures—spending time with her family, cheering for her beloved Dallas Cowboys, tending to her garden to make fresh salsa, and watching her novelas.

Juana’s selflessness and warmth defined her. She always placed the needs of others before her own, and nothing brought her more joy than seeing the smiles of her family. That love and devotion will live on through the legacy she leaves behind.

Her final resting place will be in Phoenix, Arizona, where she spent most of her life. Juana will be deeply missed, forever loved, and remembered in prayers by all who were blessed to know her.
