Joyce Koon

Joyce Ann Koon was born May 9, 1947, to Firman and Alice Koon. She resided with her parents till their deaths, and remained in the home till her death on June 26 , 2023.

She was involved in the Red Hat club, Bunco club, Primetimers and other various organizations.

She was employed at Ceco Steel in Lemont and later at the Lemont Public Library.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother James Koon and nephew James Firman Koon.

She is survived by her sister-in-law Marianne Koon, niece and beloved caregiver Debbie Pecsenye (John Zambon), niece Lisa Monken (Dave), great nephews Michael Hammang ( Becky Rossow), Evon Pecsenye ( Becca), Dakota DeMarco (Ashley Roque), great niece Rheanne Pecsenye.

She was also survived by Sam whom I believe she loved and confided in.

And there was that beloved cat “Tipper” who never left her bed except for eating and playing with his new toy

She is also survived by many great great nieces and nephews.

Joyce had a great love for flowers, birds and all small critters. She had many, many pictures to prove it.
