It is with great sorrow that the family of Joshua Lane announce his passing. Joshua Russell Lane, 38, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on Tuesday August 19th, 2025. Born in Trenton, Michigan on January 22, 1987, Joshua was the son of John Lane and Janice Rossetti.
Joshua joined the Navy in 2006 and moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia. Additionally, he served aboard the USS Eisenhower and worked as an aircraft mechanic. His squadron was the VFA-143, “The World Famous Pukin’ Dogs”. Throughout his time in the Navy, he was able to travel all over the world including locations like Dubai and Portugal as well as living and training in multiple different states. His highest rank obtained was Petty Officer Second Class.
He returned to civilian life in 2012 and moved back to the Phoenix area in 2015. Outside of the Navy, Josh had different hobbies. Growing up he loved to skateboard and deep compassion for all animals. He had pets and took in multiple strays over the years to contribute towards giving them a better life. He was a very giving person; if he had anything to give, he gave it freely. He was a beloved father, son, brother, and friend.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughter Scarlett, and his siblings Nicholas, Amanda, Rachel, and Alton. His is survived by his father Jack and is predeceased by his mother Janice.
